The Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting development of pricing strategy, as well as implementing and managing pricing strategy for all of company’s residential and mass market business products and services.  This role will report to the Assistant Vice President of Product Analytics and Pricing. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Build & maintain segment level elasticity curves for our most important features
  • Direct and leverage quantitative research or A/B testing as necessary to drive elasticity and willingness to pay
  • Build robust financial model incorporating elasticity and share implications from discrete choice research and or elasticity curves
  • Scenario planning to reflect potential competitive dynamics and responses
  • Develop and oversee implementation of standard and promotional product pricing for company
  • Potentially supervise up to one, or more, Pricing Analysts.
  • Manage effective collaboration with Product Management, Sales, Finance, Network Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a successful pricing strategy.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of key competitor product pricing strategies and make recommendations to keep company products and services competitively and profitably positioned.
  • Ensure that necessary metrics are tracked, regularly reported, and analyzed, and recommend tactical pricing corrections, as needed.
  • Ad-Hoc analysis and financial modeling, as required.
  • Provide proactive thought leadership and challenge others’ thinking.

Background and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, or Mathematics necessary; MBA, or equivalent, preferred
  • 7+ years in a pricing, financial planning, or financial analysis role
  • Background in telecommunications required
  • Background in Internet services preferred
  • Experience in working with call centers a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and spreadsheet modeling skills
  • Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact directly with superiors
  • Self-directed, with demonstrated ability to, when warranted, take the initiative
