Frontier Communications, Inc. is seeking a talented individual to work closely with the business to learn and understand the processes and workflows of our customer sales and service organization. At the same time, also work closely with the development teams to provide direction and business perspective on the applications being built to ensure that they are moving in the right direction holistically and that the features meet the immediate needs of the business. Additionally, this position will provide support to the business as issues and needs arise within the applications.


The candidate should be able to perform analysis on our applications and utilize their business expertise to provide recommendations to the business on ways the applications could work better for them. They need to be able to write clear use stories that are understandable by both the business and the development teams.


Job Responsibilities


  • Quickly learn the existing suite of applications and begin assisting in their enhancement
  • Analyze, refine, and transform data into usable formats for application creation and reporting
  • Maintain documentation of application development (requirements, design, and user guide, user stories)
  • Understand complex integration layers between Frontier systems
  • Assist with support for a variety of applications
  • Engage directly with users to gain understanding of business processes to improve application effectiveness. Then help prioritize development based on value added to Frontier
  • Act as a liaison between the development organization, the business and the IT PMO
  • Provide technical training and support to other departments for applications we support
  • Help design, test, and build applications utilizing hardware, database, and programming technologies



Required Skills and Experience


  • Experience in Telecommunications in a customer sales and/or service support role
  • Excellent team player, eager to learn from others and to share skills with colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write technical instructions
  • Ability to work with and refine loose business requirements
  • Investigate and analyze information to draw conclusions
  • Ability to adapt quickly to learn and support new systems and applications
  • Able to manage projects, this includes interaction with internal/external customers
  • Resolve technical problems using trouble isolation techniques
  • Able to work in multiple software lifecycle methodologies like Agile/Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall



Desired technical skills


  • Operating Systems: Windows Server 2012+, Windows 7+
  • Web Development Skills: ASP.Net (web forms / MVC), HTML JSON, JavaScript, CSS
  • Databases: DB2, Microsoft SQL
  • Development Languages: C#, T-SQL
  • Web Services: Web API, WCF
  • Development Tools: Visual Studio 2010+
  • Source Control: Team Foundation Server, git
