Security Analyst, Threat Intelligence

Security Analyst, Threat Intelligence will be responsible for monitoring the tactics of criminal and geopolitical entities which target Frontier Communications assets and infrastructure. They will provide timely assessments of likely attacks and outcomes; providing mitigation recommendations and pertinent complex data sets. Additionally, they may assist with threat hunting activities.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create reports based on different intelligence topics on an adhoc and basis, as requested from management.
  • Proactively monitor external threats to Frontier Communications.
  • Develop methods of intelligence collection for the purpose of creating finished intelligence reports.
  • Identify and use intelligence collection tools to support reporting.
  • Create detailed intelligence reports that outlines potential likelihood and impact to applicable Frontier systems and processes.
  • Provide recommendations and actions for Operations teams, Security teams, and other stakeholders based on timely intelligence information.
  • Provide daily tactics, threats, and procedures report to Cyber Security Operations Center and applicable IOCs.
  • Develop tools to support the collection and analysis of intelligence information.
  • Monitor the Darkweb (and regular Internet sources: all-source intelligence) for any evidence of breaches or compromises of Frontier systems and data
  • Monitor and report on large nation state and APTs activities.
  • Provide Cyber Security Operations Center with contextual information to support identified incidents.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 2-4 yrs experience with threat intelligence and other security domain experience in mission critical environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with a wide range of operational teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills a must.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with current Incident Response best practices.
